A longa espera chegou ao fim. “Writing’s On The Wall”, música-tema de 007 Contra SPECTRE foi lançada oficialmente nesta sexta-feira, dia 25 de setembro.

Sam Smith gravou e co-escreveu a música em parceria com Jimmy Napes. É a primeira vez desde 1965 que uma música-tema de James Bond é gravada por um cantor solo britânico. A última vez havia sido em 1965 com “Thunderball” de Tom Jones.
Em entrevista à BBC, Sam contou que o convite para gravar a música foi feito por Sam Mendes e Barbara Broccoli. O cantor também revelou que gravou “Writing’s On The Wall” em janeiro desse ano, em apenas 20 minutos: “Foi uma das coisas mais rápidas que fiz na vida, e ficou incrível”, disse.
“Este é um dos pontos altos da minha carreira…Estou tão animado por fazer parte desse icônico legado britânico e juntar-me a um incrível line-up de alguma das minhas maiores inspirações musicais. Espero que todos gostem da música tanto quanto eu adorei fazê-la.”, comentou o cantor.
Passando pelo México, Inglaterra, Áustria, Itália e Marrocos, a trama de 007 Contra SPECTRE mostra uma enigmática mensagem do passado de Bond que o coloca no caminho para desvendar uma sinistra organização. Enquanto “M” luta contra forças políticas para manter vivo o serviço secreto, Bond combate a fraude para revelar a terrível verdade por trás da SPECTRE.
Estrelado por Daniel Craig, Christoph Waltz e Léa Seydoux, o filme tem direção de Sam Mendes com roteiro escrito por John Logan, Neal Purvis, Robert Wade e Jez Butterworth.
007 Contra SPECTRE tem lançamento oficial marcado para o dia 26 de Outubro no Reino Unido e Irlanda, e a partir do dia 06 de novembro no resto do mundo. No Brasil, o filme estréia um dia antes, no dia 05 de novembro. █
